Listener Questions


1. One of my closest friends has not been successful with losing weight. I know despite what she says, that her eating habits are poor – although she thinks she is being healthy. She works out, but she’s not really into fitness. She is starting a weight loss program which I suspect is a bariatrics program. She hasn’t shared the whole story, but small pieces. For example, she said she won’t be working out because she will only be “consuming 500 calories a day” but she claims it will be pulling from her fat stores. And she is going to start using drops, but I’m not sure what kind. I’m just sick because I know this is so very bad for her. It breaks my heart that she is desperate to lose weight. So do I express my concern for her? Or just let her be? How much damage can she do to herself by basically starving herself for a month? (12:10)

2. I feel like I eat well all day and then get hungry at night and and snack poorly. I would love some advice on ways to curb the night-time munchies or good options for snacking.
