[REVIEW] Crunchy Balm: Nourish You Skin

September 25, 2016

I love Autumn. Nothing beats the changing leaves, pumpkin patches, and sipping on a PSL [but please, stick to my pumpkin spice gut-loving recipe!]

I don't even mind putting on a jacket because the cool, crisp air reminds me of so many fond memories of my childhood.

The one thing I have noticed about the cooler time of year is that my skin tends to get dry and crackly, especially my hands, feet, and elbows! Luckily, I've found a product I'm super impressed with for nourishing my dry skin and I love it's nutrition profile and I wanted to share it with you!

CRUNCHY BALM is a healing, 100% grass-fed tallow balm.

Unfamiliar with tallow? Tallow is a rendered form of beef or mutton fat... grossed out?! You shouldn't be! This is a great way for us to use all parts of the animal, much like our ancestors, and benefit from the nutrition tallow can provide us!

Tallow, like other animal fat, is rich in Vitamins A, D, E, and K [oh look at that, all of the FAT-soluble vitamins!] and Conjugated linoleic acid [CLA], a great anti-inflammatory. What's more, these micronutrients are all present in perfect ratios, meaning the body can easily absorb and properly use them.

In fact, tallow is made up of 50-55% saturated fat... the same as our cell membranes! Pretty cool.

Crunchy Balm only uses tallow from grass-fed cows pastured on organically grown grass. This ensures the tallow is rich in nutrients and free of pesticides and other toxins. I'm on board with that!

One of the reasons I love this balm is the WHIPPED texture. It doesn't feel like other lotions or moisturizers, which can be greasy or oily and very thick. This product is whipped so it is a light and unique texture.

There are 3 different scents, but I have been enjoying the "Original."

While I have been using it mostly for my dry skin, it's also recommended for the following:

• face moisturizer

• inflamed skin

• stretch marks

• eczema

• chapped skin and lips

• sunburn

• wind burn

• baby skin

• diaper rash and much more!

And I recently read a review that shared how wonderful it was for sunburn! I'll keep that in mind next Summer ;)

Crunchy Balm and I have teamed up to bring you a deal so you can give this balm a try this fall and winter!
